• Mrs. Lizsette Jimenez

    Co-Administrator

    Mrs.Jimenez is excited to “Rise Up” with her fellow Phoenix at North Monterey County Middle School where she will serve as Co- Administrator for the 2023-2024 school year. Mrs. Jimenez joins us after serving as an administrator for the past 4 years at Echo Valley Elementary. 

    She is a graduate of CSU Stanislaus, where she received her Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with a concentration in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She went on to receive her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through the CalStateTEACH program at CSU Monterey Bay. She holds a Masters Degree in Applied School Leadership from National University. 

    Mrs. Jimenez began her teaching career in 2008  as an instructional assistant in an ELD center in the Oak Grove School District. She then went on to teach 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. She served on many leadership and parent committees and was recognized for quality instruction and community involvement during her time with the district. 

    She moved back to her hometown of Hollister in 2017 and began teaching at HDLA, the Hollister Dual Language Academy, which serves students in grades TK-8. Mrs. Jimenez taught 8th grade ELA, Math8, Algebra and ELD .  She also established a middle school ASB program which has student representatives in grades 6-8 and continues to this day.  She was recognized by the district and county as Teacher of the Year in 2018.  While teaching at HDLA, she spent her weekends attending classes to earn a Tier 1 Administrative Credential. She then served as an assistant principal, splitting her time between two elementary school sites. In her free time, she enjoys reading, visiting local coffee shops and spending time with her loved ones.

  • Mr. Daniel Rimmer

    Co-Administrator

    Mr. Rimmer is thrilled to be entering his 5th year at North Monterey County Middle School serving alongside Ms Jimenez as a Co-Administator for the 2023-24 School year. 

    Originally from Southern California, Mr. Rimmer graduated from Granada Hills High School where he participated in Football, Wrestling and Lacrosse. TThis experience influenced his passion for supporting athletics in the school environment. He believes that athletic fields, courts and gyms are extensions of the classroom and play a fundamental role in helping many students reach their true potential. 

    He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University Monterey Bay in Environmental Technology and Policy with a concentration in Marine and Coastal Ecology. He continued his education and  earned a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Chapman University. 

    Before joining the team in North County he most recently taught Biology, Marine Biology, and Avid at Monterey High School. While there he was also the head coach and co-founder of the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team, as well as the coach for girls tennis. 

    His core tenet as a school leader is that it is our responsibility to provide a nurturing, welcoming environment where all students  feel safe, valued and are empowered with the tools they need to succeed. In his free time he enjoys all outdoor activities, particularly hiking, fishing and diving.
