  • NMCUSD Digital Citizenship Expectations

    NMCUSD believes that our students need to be prepared for their digital future and this includes practices using online tools appropriately in school, and at home while working on school related activities.

    Student Posts
    Students can help delete negativity on social media with the following tips -

    Post Positively. Lead by example. Only post messages and statuses that will make a positive impact on your followers and friends. Become the “Positive Warrior” on your own Feed.
    Respectfully Comment, Then Report Anything Inappropriate. Inappropriate content that is harmful to yourself or others should be reported. Remember to fight the negative with the positive.
    Block Inappropriate People. Report and block users that post harmful content that affects yourself or others. Especially if the person is constantly posting negative content.
    Inform Students & Adults. Make sure other people know if you see negativity online and inform students, staff members, and families about #iCANHELP. Teach them how they can promote positivity on and offline.
    Follow #ICANHELP on their social media sites and get ideas of how you can make a difference.

Student Technology Use Agreements and Forms

  • Students are required to have signed Technology Acceptable Use Agreement in order to access the school district's network, devices and applications.  

    If a student is issued a technology device, similar to a textbook check-out, they are required to have a signed loaner device agreement.  Student and Parent Acknowledgement (must sign)

    This agreement also references a specific Chromebook Contract that applies to the use and replacement costs for Chromebooks that may be damaged or lost.  Loaner Device Agreement 

    In addition, all district and school rules and policies apply to the use of technology and the network even if outside of school when accessing student accounts or educational programs and applications provided by the school district.  Students are expected to follow the Digital Citizenship Expectations. Distance Learning-Acknowledgement and Consent Form  (must sign)
