Common Core State Standards (CCSS):  These are rigorous standards that require a focus on college and career readiness skills. 21st Century Learning:  Instruction in the classroom will need to provide students will more opportunities for critical thinking, collaborating, communicating and the opportunity to creative or innovate.  This also requires the use of technology and a shift in how we use our classrooms and school facilities. www.p21.org
